Very nice, especially from angles where you can’t see the interior disk. Great texture!

Now you get 5 Stars! That looks great! The internal planet that appears and disappears is especially cool. That’s probably not what you intended, but the Player does get a little crazy with translucency inside of translucency.

Paint Shop Pro also has a free trial version – http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite/us/en/Product/1208530085925?trkid=59882679#versionTabview=tab1&tabview=tab6 – and is a very good program as well.

:-) Actually i wanted to make something like red hot core and then varying layers up to surface …..

That’s a great concept. I’ve tried frequently to do multiple layers of translucency and haven’t made it work to my satisfaction yet.

Agate – http://www.3dvia.com/dswavely/models/EC2993E2F4C6D8EA – looks like I intended in the thumbnail, but looks terrible when you use the Player.

Split Agate – http://www.3dvia.com/dswavely/models/B45CD5AABC8EA0B2 – was an attempt to do better, but I ended up just using the Fresnel shader to make it look decent.

I hope you are more successful than I have been. :)

In no specific shader the sphere inside is always a tiny bit visible, as with Double sided directional shader, the sphere is only visible at certain views.
