Now with a Rocket Launcher ;-)

“Kills” and Nose Art (rear end) are typical features of WW2 warplanes… thought of having them in my Jeep as well :)

Rockets are hanging in air for now… will have to check out a correct way of “loading” them properly for good launch :)
Else it’ll be “Fire in the Hole” here itself… he he he…

Good job. I like the rocket application for the Jeep. Just a note: Those missiles were not vailable in WW2, but never mind :)

Sady, those symbols are a way of tracking kills on a vehicle, in many films you see mostly the airforce using these kinds of markings.

This is what happens when you try fitting ultra-modern A2A missiles to your granpa’s Willy. he he he…

The reason why “rockets” were hanging in air was, I was unaware of the shape and design of the things called “pylons”. Luckily, thanks to Bulouis (http://www.3dvia.com/bulouis/models) I learnt how these deadly weapons are mounted on the original equipment/aircraft.

Now, coming back to my model… it was pretty difficult for me to model those details in 3DVIA Shape alone… so i made a simplistic arrangement in order to at least make sure the rockets are not hanging in air….

Jdelrio is right, the Japanese Rising Sun marks and German Swastik marks are the ‘indicators’ of how many opponents have been neutralised by this particular vehicle… you’ll typically find these on Aircrafts near Cockpit / Canopy…

And its a CAT not fox ;-)

cat not fox,i like it… ;)
but the willys isn’t a tank,is a light vehicle, and in order to kill someone you must shoot it(or drive on him :) )so put a gun(not rockets :) ),a M2 preferably, and now you can say how many kills he has :))

Actually the Willy was also made with a Bazooka anti Tank Gun in WW2 (see: http://www.inetres.com/gp/military/infantry/antiarmor/M20.html for details on the Bazooka)

thanks a million alfredix for the link…
next willys variant will have an anti-tank bazooka… probably you’ll have to wait a bit for that one… :)

Hey Abu, you’re welcome.
If you are still looking for a rack that holds the 5 sidewinders, you may find this helpful: http://www.3dvia.com/alfredix/models/C721ACFDCFE1F3C5
It holds only 5 of them, but they still will do the job :)
