I knew I had seen one similar before but could not recall where until top 10 blog # 20, so thanks to Ring by Atorq for the Idea !!

If you go even further back, to Top Ten – 012 ( http://www.3dvia.com/blog/2009/02/08/3dvia-top-10-models-012/ ), mvcomputers did a beautiful ring model in 3ds Max.

Very cool model. Very strange name! It provides some interesting illusions in the 3D viewer.

Also, possibly the first model I’ve seen that looks cool with the cartoon shader.

@ toimy – It really is great! Every time i look at it I see a different interesting pattern! Glad you it too.

One of the pink colours are flashing in cartoon shader!
Now look at the colour in the fresnal shader! It has turned to green yellow and is still flickering!

I think Dswavely rushed writing that sentence!

@tomy – That flickering is really cool! I wonder why just one of the loops – it’s sort of like a neon tube having problems :D

Yep, you’re right about the messed up sentence – sometimes I’m hurrying and sometimes I just forget words :D

I know why one acts odd ! Spoiler Alert

There are two over lapping loops, trying to be in the same place at the same time. Silly error on my part! but a fun effect.
