Eve loves holding Wall•E’s hand but can’t do it without getting dirt on her hand.
And we all know how M-O was frightened when he first saw Wall•E dirty.
And since Wall•E can’t hold EVE’s hand without getting dirt on it,
M-O cleaned Wall•E as a Christmas present.
