ok here is my “Tigershark” mi 24v gunswhip / troop transport..
finally finished it felt like it took forever to make..
of all helicopters in the world this helicopter is the one seen with the most creative artwork and most different and biggest hull textures collection.
there is so many great hull texture designs used by differen millitary units all over the world…
i have combined several of them in this model..

a shame the thumbnail foto shows the side of the helicopter where the cockpit door is open so you dont see the eye also..(shall be seen from the other side..)

about the helicopter here is some info from wiki…
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mil_Mi-24

all doors and hatches can be open or closed using the hidden layers

thanks xgh_xxx for the kind words and comment.
i try to make it look as realistic and real as possible so i think i use nearly more time on making the textures than making the actual model.

hi skynetsniper

yes i made the textures my self

most of them is made from pictures of the hind helicopter which is a popular helicopter so there is tons of image materil on the internet
i just snap bits and pieces from the pictures and put them togheter .
must admit it takes a lot of time and may of the that i many many times makes a lott more textures than i use in the model

mostly because i have to many plans or find a picture with even better image-tecxture
and i have made so many for my models that i have got i rater big texture image base now..

note also that the hind helicopter is the most pictured helicopter in the workld
it is also the one helicopter in the world which have uses so many diferent hull texture you can see

regards
smike

thanks for your nice words

sorry i havent had time to be here or making 3d models..
has haved a lot of problems with my legs so i have been on the hospital for some time..
after some time i was sent to italy for recreation and bathing in hot springs and all kinds of helth cures..
i did no differnce for me but i had a great vacation (payed by the goverment)
i must admit that i miss my computer and my dog a lot..
havent had time to work on any models before today (i thoght)
but when i started my computer the damm microsoft installed a new update on it and then all the troubled started..
it came out saying my windows was not legal and colud be a pirate version…
so i have emailed and talked with a microsoft supporter for a week now because it keeps doing it..

the funny part is that i have bought my windows from a niece there works on microsoft and they have no ide about it
i refuse to as they says WIPE my harddisk and reinstall it again..
i have many many many many small tools and programs i have made over the years and i have costumized my windows wth so many things that i will never get it like that again..

ok i have found the programs and the validation update that microsoft has installed and protected very very well
but my computer as i said is special build b me so nothing gets on it without i now what and where it is (usally dont trust virus programs and other tools like that so i usally remove any viruses and malware my self..

so now i am arguing with microsoft about there validations program and the legality of it and that i dont belive it is legal what they do..
(data protection of my privacy..)

if you new what this validation program does you would be very mad i tell you..

regards smike

Thanks for letting us know what has been going on with you. I was hoping that it was lots of interesting systems work, but I’m sorry to hear that your leg problems have intensified and that the “vacation” didn’t really help. At least you are trying to help things get better.

Microsoft is another story. You could spend the rest of your life trying to work with them to solve a problem and only end up with a lot of wasted time – you know that way better than I do. Mostly I’m sorry to hear that it is keeping you away from modeling, which brings you so much satisfaction. That makes the frustration even worse.

I do hope that both situations stabilize and gradually get better. We miss you!
