Wow that is cool, thanks for making the train! I’ll be adding it soon to my LRT website.
so,where do you find those textures ,for ships and others?
i know isn’t the right model to comment this, but seriously
i am not sure what you mean since most ships models dont use special textures other than the coast guard ships and those ship markings can be found on both wiki and officiel coast guard sites..
but mostly i searches for pictures of the item and then make textures from them..
i am not good of drawing 2d my self and real life pictures is best for textures..
but with the help of photoshop every thing is possible with a little work..
but again i actually dont use textures so musch..
ok i have started on using textures more since i most admit that it can make a big difference in the look of a model and even thoug i in a long time felt it was like cheating since you have not actually made the item it does save a lot of time and work..
i just didnt like a house where you just make a box and then place pictures on it and you have made a model..
I use paint (I use Windows so I don’t have photoshop).
=)))))
smike makes so many details and tomy-“i use paint”
some folks are quick – Paint Shop Pro is another good image editor that you can usually find a free download for…
Actually, smike, the LRT is the same on both sides so that it can go both directions, from Health Sciences to Clareview (go to: http://webdocs.edmonton.ca/transit/route_schedules_and_maps/current/LRT.pdf ). I go onto the LRT every year because it runs through my city.
Let me give some more information on what the LRT is:
It is a kind of bus that goes under the ground and uses electricity. But when it goes over the ground, it slows down. It has many stations, Clareview, stadium, corona, bay are just some of the names. The LRT is the same on both sides and more information can be found on Wikipedia.
Great train model. As far as photo programs go, Paint Shop Pro is great (especially as it is ALOT cheaper than Photoshop). And there is also The Gimp, which is very powerful and will run on Windows (as will Photoshop) and is free.
Will you add this to my Canada Group?
