enjoy

5 Stars and a stunned silence after viewing your presentation.
why the silence – Whats wrong with ALVIN
i just love it so i thought why not make something special out of it..
i have actually made several deep sea creatures for the alvin model but did not include them since they where to complex / detailed and fillled to mouch
also didnt wonted to over populate the area
i must admit i did not put so mousch efort in to the octopussy and it is very simpel
but dont it just look great anywhay it suprized me how the textures just make it look real from a distance..
Stunned by amazement! Not enough words to express how amazing it is!! It’s great that you included the environment and its inhabitants too. Fantastic work smike!
well i knew already from the star that i had to place it in a envoriment showing it in its main role a ´deep sea sub..
and i admire the persons there would go so deep down in the ocean in a tiny little vehicle like this..
i must admit i WOULD NEVER DO THAT…
Great model, almost like a virtual reality experience! :-)
well finally I got it. You have less visitors because at the first glance to this model noone can actually get the idea about this model..we can only see a blue-green mixed surface…believe me even it took a long time for me to understand the model ..compare to sea surface the actual model is so small that many people may have ignored it.
Neverthless great details (must add this point)..you have to zoom-in to the bottom of the inside surface to actually understand the details. I also liked the presentation which helped to understand this model in much better way..
i am not quiet sure what you mean
ok looking at the model picture you only see the ocean bottom surface.
but when you start the player i can clearly see the sub and the other items
what do you mean whit – compare to sea surface the actual model is so small that many people may have ignored it.-
i can see it clearly when starting the player and the size looks ok there
you say that you have to zoom-in to the bottom of the inside surface to actually understand the details. ????????????????
i can see the sub alvin and the octopussy plus the gysers clearly in the middle (ok the zoom is so sentive that i cant zoom in prperly)
please explain closere what you mean
smike you are right when we see the model first time we can only see a green-blue sea surface & after starting player only we get a preview of your model & it needs a lot of zooming-in to view this beauty & its details. In some computer in my office zoom-in is not working properly with this model & they can’t view it properly, so I am not sure is the problem with others too or just with my office? I take help from your presentation to understand this model. Is it possible for you to upload this model separately without sea surface. I guess that will help others to view this better (just a suggestion though)
Many thanks smike for excluding sea surface & upload only “Alvin”. I can view it properly now.
For others Please check “Alvin” without sea surface: http://www.3dvia.com/smike/models/DFEF02D5E7F9CBDD
@Parth – It sounds like you have a variety of graphics cards in your office computers. When the Player is installed it does test and optimizes the performance for the particular card.
@ all – Zooming with the mousewheel is not nearly as sensitive as using the zoom tool on the player dashboard. I usually use the mouse to get close and then the dashboard tool. For even finer control I’ll use the middle mouse button to choose exactly what I want to zoom in on. It can be finicky.
On larger models be sure to leave a little extra time between changing tools and moving around. Depending on your mouse settings, the cpu/gpu combination and the phase of the moon, you can lose complete control and have to reload the model. :D
Excellent!
Congratulations smike! Your model has been included in the 40th weekly Top 10 models blog with pictures and links to your model.
