3dvia will never get filled(tough i would make some cleaning here-the motto is share your art with millions,but there are only under 100 000 users :P,wich no more than 3000 have at least a model or comment.htat’s less than 5%!and from those,even less have more than a house in shape,a model uploaded from a weird site,or a model made by them,but only one.from these about 1000,even less,about 10% are still active.is very low,and not all users are hel;pful.)

I agree with sady2… but I like it here, it’s more close-knit than the 3D warehouse. And no spammers!!

@sady2, Wacov and smike – Thank you for your observations – pro and con. Your analysis of the numbers is something that we are aware of and are doing our best to improve.

It takes time to build a community and understand their likes and dislikes. People have less and less available time as they focus on the reality of their own life situations and they have more and more choices as to what they do with that decreasing amount of time.

We do try to be a place where modelers can come and feel comfortable no matter what their level of skill is. The credit goes to the 3DVIA community itself for the fact that people do feel comfortable here.

There have been several occasions when I have been extremely proud of our community for the way they have stood up for their fellow modelers and encouraged a core belief in fairness and positive interaction.
