well i was thinking on living in new york on floor 100 in some sky tower..
so why not a special delivery option pizza directly to your window..
now i got me a final standard s76c model i only have to make some textures to get a new model..

ok i thought about making a pizza bakery interior and a person sitting in the door with a pizza box in his hand..

Check out this person called MANDUN at the 3D WAREHOUSE
http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=8de3569d0842916f1f48c5400adf5401&prevstart=0’

It seems that things are never simple. Google won’t let me download MANDUN’s model to compare it!? It sure looks like a copy. But the S-76 Spirit is real (at least according to wikipedia – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sikorsky_S-76 ).

Will the S-76 Trump have really bad hair too? :D

i maneged to download it and i have it..

its mine..
it is exacly the same just without textures (only one texture was left the little red danger arrow on the talefin..
the components in the model has all the original names starting with s76c_Royal thai navy
i think the reason you cant download it is that i reported it to google demanding the model removed.
i think that they then automaticcly bloks all downloading of the file..
until they have looked in to the complaign..

There are, unfortunately, many cases of people not giving credit to the original creator of 3D models. Smike is right to bring it to our attention so we know who the good guys are and who is just taking advantage of other people’s hard work.

what about a RPP (rocket proppeled pizza)

That’s a great idea! Well, sort of – if the shooter is hungry the pizza would never get to the target and the target better be prepared for mushy pizza – if they can find it.

thanks dswaley.

here is an email i got from a person called Morbius from the 3d warehouse.

First of all, let me congratulate you on another excellent model.
As a contributor (under the name MorBius) and long time collector of models from the 3D warehouse,
I have long been an admirer of your work and have downloaded all of your warehouse models to my personal collections (as well as models I have found on the internet which are too large to upload to the warehouse, such as your excellent Babylon 5 Excalibur model).
Secondly, let me say that I share your sentiments about the amount of piracy that appears to be going on in the warehouse.
As a modeler, I can imagine how frustrating it must be to see one’s work appear under another’s name and how angry it must make your feel towards the thieves.
I just wanted to let you know that your work is appreciated and I hope that the thieves among us don’t deter you from continuing to post your models to the warehouse. I LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOUR FUTURE MODEKSKEEP UP THE GOOD WORK !!!!

responses like this helps a lot even thoug i have decided not to use the 3d warehouse any more..

Thanks smike for sharing Morbius’ email with us.

As you have correctly noted in other comments, it is my job to try to keep the peace here amongst the community members and therefore I must make sure that my comments are both accurate and legally defensible.

However, as a modeler first and a community manager second, it makes my blood boil when I see people ripping off other people’s hard work. Your willingness to share so much of your work should not be taken advantage of, but the unpleasant parts of human nature are a part of the virtual world as well.

As part of the total 3D modeling community we must help each other to identify the culprits, call them out and support each other as you and Morbius are already doing.

Thanks for your models and your commitment to honesty.
