but my best level of details.??
This model is a shell and even with large faces and then pictures to cover them and make the illusion of of a real helicopter..
first on air planes aviation site they have so many great pictures of not only this but other aircraft also so it was easy to get the textures..
the only detail i desided to make was the tale rotor which i first made as one face and a picture..
saved a lot of work but i changed my mind and made the tale rotor..

i forgot to say that as should be noticed i have start making coast guard models..
mostly because i found out that all the coast guard models on the internet where sold on pay sites and no one was free..
so i desided to change this with a serie of different coast guard models there was free..

where do you get the textures?

as i say earlyer so did i get a ton of pictures from “air planes aviation site” they have and incredible amount of pictures of air plaines..
so it was easy to make textures of them since i got pictures from 30 different angels..
and if you search for microsoft flight simulator models there is a ton of sites with air plaine models you can download..
i dont now how to open/edit or use the models for anythin else than microsoft flight simulator..
but the model packs includes texture files which is easy to get..
for the jayhawk i even got nice textures of the cockpit inside / instruments and even the look out of the windows from the inside..
just use the internet sady there is always (nearly) tons of pictures out there..
(i am working on a coast guard fast response boat but only have found 3 pictures of it now.(but on turbosquid and other pay sites they have always a lot of pictures of the models they sell usally from all angels of the model (i love turbosquid because the show so many pictures of there models)..

How long does it take you to make a model like so?

this model i used a week to work on but not all the time i worked on othermodels also in that week.
i think maybee 10 hours of work sice i did not have to make any special details or items only the rotor blades and engines..
i used a lot of time finding pictures of it and make the textures…

is it only me or every1 gets 404 when trying to download it?

smike was being harassed by someone downloading his models and claiming they were his own, so he stopped making his helicopters downloadable.

I think if you send him a message he’ll respond.

actually dswavely should there be no problems downloading this one so i think the problem is a 3dvia problem..
