My second ship also a aircraft carrier this time a real one…
Named to commemorate seven US warships which had previously borne the name..
Authorized by an Act of 27 March 1934 as a tonnage replacement for the Langley (CV-1).
Displacement: 14,700 tons standard (design); 19,116 tons full load..
aircrafts: 40 wildcat’s and 40 Dauntless bomber’s……….
This is the original design for the Wasp cv-7 from 1941….
Made after pictures of the bluprints from 1941..

Excellent model! Very nicely detailed. The model kit that I built as a kid was the Dauntless Dive Bomber. It’s great that you add in some histroical facts too!
