Another 5 Star effort sandman! I really like the silver paint work (and am very glad that I don’t have to mask and paint it), the translucent knobs and the detail in the pick-up areas. Very nice. Oh yeah, I also like the fretwork inlay work and the way they progress in size up the neck – cool.
Only one problem, somehow I always want to have plenty of virtual band aids and maybe even a virtual nurse around when I look at your guitars :D
Thanks Don!, I uploaded this one because of Sady’s Scorpion helicopter. When I told Sady that I think it should be called the scorpion because it looks like one, I thought of when I made this model. After I made it, I looked at it and said it looks like a scorpion :)
…I think the headstock looks like the thing you see on some Japanese Samurai Helmets though.
another awesome work from sandman…now after getting all the inspiration from you I have to make atleast one guitar model in 3dvia.. hope to make it..
very well done Shannon (like usual :) ). I must admit it took me 2 views to realize the scorpion shpae, but not I have it :)
Great. And if there is a choice between Don’s Band aids and the nurse, I would go for the nurse please :)
Yeah, it’s just a weird shape, but like most of the guitar models I make I have to name it. So I looked at it and said it kind of looks like a scorpion if you look at the back of the guitar as it’s claws and the middle and front part as its legs.
@sandman – Weird shapes are inspirational – you never know what you’ll see in them. Like cloud-watching, it let’s your mind relax and blur the lines between the pigeon holes that the world jams everything into :)
@Alfred – LOL
Congratulations sandman! Your model has been included in the 35th weekly Top 10 models blog with pictures and links to your model.
