I made this model for one reason, and one reason only… to show off this amazing video http://youtube.com/watch?v=hb5QaCfm7bg
you know what? I am not a Metal fan at all. I like more the classic Rock. but this video just gave me goosbumps, when this guys plays. Awesome!!
What did you listen to in the 80’s?
The funny thing is: In the 80s I was more into pop music adn “Neue Deutsche Welle (you know that? Nena for example) . In the 90s it was Black music and now since I grow old and grey (hihi) it is classic rock like Brian Adams, Bruce Springsteen, AC/DC, Guns and Roses, Aerosmith …
Mind blowing video…must go rest now…
@alfredix, is that the one that did 99 red balloons?
Yes she is the one. Actually one of only a few German artists, how are famous in US. Anotherone out of that time would be FALCO, but he is Austrian :) At least he sang in German (most of his songs)
Yeah, Falco did Rock Me Amadeus. That was a big hit in the US, as well as 99 red balloons!
Did you ever listen to The Scorpions? Check out this video when they had Uli Jon Roth in the band http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AeX3I4Jneyg … No one played guitar like that back in the 70’s I see where Yngwie Malmsteen gets his inspiration from.
Oh yes, I listened to The Scorpions, also to Metalica, but I never got really “into” their music. What I like a lot though, are ballads made by Heavy Metal bands. That is great music.
I stayed out of this conversation because my musical tastes are all over the place. Last night I was lying in bed thinking about all the different types that I like and why, when i realized that there is a common thread with 3D modeling too.
I love 3D models because they help us tell a story more easily and all the music I like tells a great story and uses music to bring them to life.
Thank you, Alfred, for mentioning ballads because that it is a common thread of story telling through all time. Now the ballads are just a lot shorter :D
