The Dread

Description | Stats | Embed

THE DREAD is a very futuristic electric gun.due to it’s form,it can’t be weilded by a soldier, but let’s analyse the advantages-is fully electric,so the flash is eliminated, this makng it very stealty.it uses no gunpowder,so the psyhologic fear factor is eleiminated, that the armoury could explode.it uses 5.40mm metal balls, and uses the rotation to launch them.another great facor is the reliabiliy-it has a self-cleaning program.the cadence is so bg that,if on an powder-proppeled gun the distance between two bullets fired on auto would be of 100m,on the dread would be of only 1.3inch!the accuracy is also increased, and becasue is RECOILLESS,it can be mounted on any weapons platform:ROVs,LAVs,gunships, gunchoopers, and many others….

this is one of the weapons that doesn’t respect the classic machinegun fire system, with the other futureweapons:railguns, gatling guns, metal storm spark-ignited powder, and other on-conventional weapons

I like the start of the concept, so this is a vehicle mounted, futuristic spinning tiny metal ball launcher. If you are on a vehicle, chances are stealth is unnessesary, you can probably increase the size of the ammunition, the rate of fire, or the propulsion, make it a large, rotating electro magnet that launches, fist sized metal “mini cannon balls” !!
