You made big improvements on the texturing! Great job! I’d love to have an S7 of my very own, or an all black Acura NSX….or…

Thanks, I prefer a Koenigsegg CCXR Limited Edition or an Alfa Romeo 8c Competitzione or a Porsche 356 Speedster or a Corsair Phantom perhaps. :D

For the “Totally Cool Forever” title you would have to go with the Corsair (which most people don’t even know about :D http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phantom_Corsair ).

Yes, it’s unbeliveable cool an looks mor futuric than the cars of these days, even thought it was made in 1938!:D

Sadly, it looks a lot like a cockroach too. But I still want one!

Maybe i should make one…
But it is very hard to find blueprints for it, sadly, if anybody see a blueprint on the Corsair, please tell me! :D:D

I have one made by MicroMachine back when they made zillions of tiny cars. It REALLY looks like a cockroach because of its size. Somebody mentioned a cars blueprint site once…but I can’t remember what it was…

sorry I’m noob to this software, are we allowed to use other people’s designs for non-comercial use? like if I were to copy this and put more detail into it, would that be alright?

Hm, i don’t really know how to do it in 3dvia shape, i think you have to use some kind of transparent texture. I’m using blender :)

tomy

Go to the textures tool, go to drop down list at the top, choose “Glass”. Also, to make a model look glossy, go into the player, middle mouse button choose “Shader” Choose “Fresnal Shader”. It will make the model really cool looking!

There a bunch of Shape tips and tricks available – http://www.3dvia.com/blog/3dvia-shape-30-tips-and-tricks/ – and the online help is also available – http://www.3dvia.com/software/3dvia-shape/documentation/

Making a well-surfaced car in Shape is a real challenge. There are no specific tutorials yet to create one.

For transparent textures try this template model – http://www.3dvia.com/software/3dvia-shape/documentation/ – all the colors are 50% transparent. You can download them to your hard drive and then upload them to your model as needed.

Feel free to send me a private message too. :D
