bDescription/b The prototype of the Cometa lamp was an inspired present. Charles Dillon worked on it all night to give it to his wife Jane the following morning. The Cometa has a diffuser of white cloth in the shape of a kite, which hangs from the ceiling by a cable that supports the four parts of the frame. An inverted hammered aluminium cone hides the light bulb and functions as a reflector. The red cable hangs like the cord of a kite. Contrary to what is normally the case with hanging lamps, the red cable hangs nearly to the floor, making it easy to hang and adapt the lamp to your particular taste. As the lamp comes in the form of a kit, the user has to become part of its creation, approaching it like an enjoyable hobby, like putting together a real kite. The Cometa is a high flying lamp which wakes the imagination, a comet of light, a parachute, an umbrella which projects a fine light and shadow. bMaterials Finishes/b Wood structure with white fabric lampshade. bDimensions/b Height: 650mm X Width: 1000mm X Depth: 1000mm bBulbs Required/b 1 x max. 100 W 230 V E 27.
