When Shape times out like that (happens all the time and makes me really cranky), before you do anything else, reopen Shape from your desktop and sign in. That should give you the opportunity to open a draft copy of what you were working on. Works for me.

The Shape Team really does need to extend the time out period since it takes so long to do things in Shape, especially on a complicated model!

Time outs are really annoying, although in a way, being that I do know PHP, I guess the are useful. That’s exactly what I did with Shape, I saved it and went back in, but when I saved it it was no longer associated with the model on the web. I had two different ones. i wasn’t thinking and now I realize I should have downloaded the 3dxml file and updated the other one. Too bad…
