I believe 2/3 families can stay together in this house. But why did u left the space blank between boundary wall & house walls? You should fill that place & can put some small garden trees to make it beautiful :) overall looks good.

Adding some greenery is a good idea! That always make a place feel more home-like. Is water very expensive in Morocco?

lol yeah :p actually we just wait for the rain to drink from it :p
so we don’t “pay” for the water

That would certainly limit how much planting you would want to do. :)

well there’s no limit in 3D, but it’s just that I’m not going to live in this 3D house :p
plus it’s a traditional old house model :)

Here it’s either free or you pay 2 dollars. There, some water.

I think water is free everywhere, except for some poor countries where water is like gold

We pay a water bill every three months based on how much we use, and even if we use less than the minimum charge, we still have to pay it.

yes but however, I guess you can have water for free at some public places or at restaurants…

I dont think water is absolutely free any more (except you drink it from river/waterfall). We pay water bills as well as we need to buy water bottle (purified water). On top of that it is surprising to know that to purify + packaging it costs them 1/7-1/8 th of actual selling price. That mean we buy water (for drinking) by paying 7-8 times more :(

Thanks Parth for clearly saying what I tried to say yesterday, but never posted because it seemed too complicated. Ultimately, taxes mean that nothing is free. Without taxes to pay for environmental laws and enforcement, we wouldn’t even have “clean” air to breathe.

yes taxes are taking over everything :/

Do you really care about the price when you’re having a shower or when you’re drinking ?

Only when all three of my sons lived at home and took turns doing endurance showers.

great model jackred!!! it certainly is a “traditional old house” and pretty authentic…

i can tell you that since i’ve spent some time of my childhood in an arab country… in those times you could find such old homes in small towns and we lived in one such town (in fact my father tells me he used to live in an ‘ancient’ home going by this scale of ‘old’ :D)

5 stars from me for the authenticity :)

@ the discussion on water… i wouldn’t mind paying for tap water (which we use for drinking like many indian households)… but the thing is, at times, it’s not very clean (colored)… due to this people who can afford buy ‘bottled’ water which is expensive as partha cited the example… here’s the actual costing for a liter of bottled/mineral/packed water…

Raw material – Free (mostly ground water)
Processing – around 1 Re
Packaging + Sealing – 1.5 Re to 2 Rs
Selling price – Rs10 to Rs 15 (depending on the brand) some retailer add 2 Rs extra for cooling :)

anything that is processed will eventually carry a price-tag. but the thing is do we really think and associate the value, before ‘using’ or ‘abusing’ it?

and @endurance showers… well all i can say is that there’s nothing more soothing than a hot/warm shower after a long-long ride on bike (motor-HP or human HP) !!! but 3 endurance showers daily is LOL!!!

Fortunately, they all have their own apartments now and are learning the joys of paying their own way – including water. :D
