Inspired by Firehawk at Kings Island (formerly X-Flight at Geauga Lake, similar models include Batwing at Six Flags America and Nighthawk at Carowinds).
I had to delete the rails in order to keep the file size small enough to upload. Anyone know any good tactics to reduce the size of the Catia model so I can upload the complete assembly?

i’d love to have a ride on this one :)
!very impresive¡
I believe everything in Catia has parts right? Try making it one part and it will reduce the file size a bit.
That’s a good idea. I made them different parts so I could change the material properties of each one, but I can make one part with multiple bodies and change the material for each body. That might work, I’ll have to give it a try. Thanks!
The pipes on this model have way more vertices than they need, that’s whats making the file size so high. I’ve never used Catia before, but i would assume there’s some setting for the detail of the pipes, or a poly reducer that would solve the file size problem.
How wold you go about shaping the centerline without using so many points and keeping the track smooth? The reason I used so many is because I used a program called No Limits roller coaster designer. The model in the game came from the the actual manufacturer (Vekoma) so I copied all the node points into Catia and then connected them via spline.
well… i don’t have any experience in Catia, but there’s probably a setting for how much detail the spline has.
