Description

The 2010-2011 UA Baja SAE car. My job was to model the frame according to the team specs, and then design the body panels based (primarily) on my own design ideas. The frame was produced from bent steel tubes, and the body panels were made from HDPE using vacuum form molding. The body panel molds were made of CNC machined foam.

Congratulations! Your model is included as one of today’s "Featured Content: Staff Picks" on the home page – www.3dvia.com/

Very nice! Modeling a tube frame as nicely done as this one is not as easy as you might think. Well done!

Thank you dswavely! Its actually kind of funny because the part I am most proud of on this model is the surfacing for the body panels.

You’re welcome Patrick. Did you just add the description? I certainly can see why you would be proud of your accomplishments with the panels! They look great and the process of modeling and then working building them must have been very satisfying. Great job and sorry I missed pointing them out the first time around. :}
