Description

Shipbuilding is both a science and an art. The hull shape is critical to create just the right combination of speed, stability and load capacity that is called for in any particular vessel.

This model shows just a few of the steps taken to build the current cog model hull. It is obviously not a clinker-built style like the real thing, but it does start to allow us to visualize the size and proportions.

(Because construction lines do not appear in the model viewer, it is more difficult what to understand what is being done in each step. Perhaps they will be explained in an upcoming Castleamania Stage.)
