anotherone of my own creations.
4×4 Heavy Truck. I detached the ROC (Roll Over Cage) for better viewing.
This time I was digging out some old tool, LEGO Digital designer (which I updated to the latest version), Win XP32 and 3DVIa Printscreen. Which still works the best with LEGO :)

Excellent design Alfred! And it looks great too! Sometimes the old methods are the best, this proves it. :)
Thanks Don :)
I could not find any downloads for 3dvia printscreen. This software is not updated aymore, right? I am using the old one from 2008 or so.
You’re welcome Alfred. :)
You’re right; 3DVIA Printscreen is no longer offered for download and there will be no more updates, so keep it in a safe place.

Download the installer from there. (Note: you already have the latest version, 2.3)
Also a tip, GLC Player is available now and is better than 3dxml Player. Use version 2.2.0 though, not 2.3.0 which isn’t compatible with Printscreen. :)
Thanks for the link Tomy.
I know the GLC player. During development I was in contact with that guy. He got some STEPs from me (one of them you can see on the gallery page)
Actually the player is not the problem. What I need is a 3D capture tool like 3DVIa Printscreen, which runs in Win7, 64bit.
3DVia printscreen performs well, but only on Win XP32 bit. I tried on Win7, 32bit, but it captures no colors and textures and lights model looks like "lighting on 200%".
That’s why I am having a pretty old Win XP standing in my office now, that does only the printscreens from the LEGO software. I would like to get rid of that (to have more space for real LEGO Models :) )
I am on Windows 7 64 bits and Printscreen works fine here. You could try running Printscreen in Compatibility mode for Windows XP (right click on shortcut>Properties>Compatibility>Run in Compatibility mode for …).
Great tip Tomy, thanks a lot.
I never thought about that Compatibility mode, but it seems to work fine:

thank you very much :)
Good news for my XP PC. It can finally retire now :)
:D note that you don’t have to do this for every software, but sometimes that makes it work better.
