Description
Uploaded by Monty228 29/07/2011 20:28:08 1959 Cruiser in “Light sky blue” was classic 4 door sedan of late 50s. It had huge back fins, but also front fins!!. Classic Skylark design of 50s cars – 2 roundy lights below and huge grill. Also, Cruiser had lot of rocket age elements. 59 Cruiser was also using improved famous platform FL4RWD, we know from 1953 cars. Cruiser was powered by 5.2 V8 “rocketpower” (Along), same engine as in Crusader. Cruiser was full-size sedan for average families. Cruiser production was stopped in 1965. Whole car by me…..please tell me what you think ;-)

It’s fantastic! It really does capture the design of those times (I lived through them, so I have a little experience). The details are great. I can easily imagine going for a ride and sliding around on the seats on all the curves! :)
Congratulations Monty! Your model has been included in the Top 10 – 118 blog with pictures and links to your model.

I prefer this one over the other one in the top ten, but only based by colour! I guess I would have to go over the interior and exterior and features if I wanted to choose which one is best for me to drive.
OK, you can keep this one and I’ll take the concept version. :)
Thank you guys :))
You’re welcome! Do you have some more that we can fight over? :D
He has tons more cars made to period. I envy him, he’s doing what I dreamt I would since I started modeling decent cars.

Wow! He really does have a great group of cars! I’ve never seen so many Skylarks in one place ever.
I hope that he uploads some more here, so that more people can enjoy them.
