Yes, this model is very heavy weight. Most avatars are around 2mb, but this one is nearly 8mb! She has tons of details in her dress, and there are lots of details modeled that are not visible.

Yeah. It is interesting to see how the author constructed a pretty realistic dress using the primitive modeling tools in Second Life. It doesn’t make for the most optimized model, but it looks great visually.

OMG, it’s no wonder SL is such a PC killer! Nearly 50k polys for such a simple model shakes head in bemusement
