The Denver Public Library’s Central Building, located in the Golden Triangle district next to the Denver Art Museum, is a post-modern architectural exemplar. The original building (located on the North side) was designed and built by the firm of Fisher and Fisher/Burnham Hoyt. In 1990, 75% of Denver voters approved a $91.6 million bond issue for an addition to the original building. The resulting structure (consisting of 540,000 square feet) was designed by architect Michael Graves and the Denver firm of Klipp Colussy Jenks DuBois. Modeled by Crystal V. Olin.
