lol...view cube anyone? So, I figured out how to work the controls in the model viewer, and got in close on the chopper. I like the detail you put in for the bomb doors, and landing gear. One thing that looked a little odd was the inward extrusion towards the front...the small rectangle bit...It looks like that extrusion is taxing the area around it, so maybe lighten that load with another edge loop....I dunno, just a suggestion!

yep great helicopter but its strange that it looks exactly like the one that the famous and notorical MANDUN has uploaded to the 3dwarehouse a long time a go. http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=357402eb38a1bbfb59bf29282ea7962d&prevstart=0 amaizing work to make it fit almost on every line with manduns (original made by a japanese 3d artist which name i cant remember just now (he can be found on many 3d model sellings sites and have made many many helicopters)

Hey Smike, yup those are pretty close, good call. Can't say I'd seen Mandun's comanche before -- of course it seems we both were making the same comanche, a pretty standard, well-defined helicopter; I made this model from some real-life reference photos I found online, as I'm sure Mandun also did.

no almost all Manduns uploaded helicopters is made by (not japanes) a 3d artist by the name Deenoozo (mispelled) whish have made a bounch of helicopter models.. strangely enough i have searched all over the internet and denoozos models is not avaible as free 3d models anywhere on the internet.. so MANDUN most have bought these models so he could upload them as his own. just shows that he is even more crazy than i thought since denoozos models is amogst the most expensive ones.. okay he is also a fantastic good 3d artist with a very high details rate and incredible presize in his work compared to the real helicopter they are 99% identical..

i think i uploaded some comanches long ago...they were from mandun....sorry smike...anyway they are deno...whatever is called.most probabbly he fouled somehow the buying system, or anything else that guy is creepy 100% he did not bought them on normal ways and now he is watching on 3dvia too what sick man does 100 fake accounts to rate himself hen fake other's accounts? what sick man sits 24/24 to see what happens as i said i uploaded several weeks ago a fennek and a APC in less then 24 hrs, "nabil" posted there that i should credit mandun for the creation don had to delete the models as i said sick man....kids....

There are some pretty hi-res, near-profile pics of the comanche if you Google Image search "comanche": http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&source=hp&q=comanche+&gbv=2&aq=f&oq=&aqi=g10 I didn't find any blueprints / true profiles when I was making this model, but between a bunch of those action shots I was able to get it pretty close
