<p>Very cool model! What is a Steppenschiff though? It appears to be some kind of a wind powered tricycle that can be used on land or in water. Where can I learn more?</p>

Stepphenschiff is the original model name, probably the german word for "ship of the desert".<br />
There are lots of tales about these ships ; you can find some of them on Harry Oliver Fandom Center ( http://www.klaxo.net/hofc/hofc.htm ).<br />
You can find another fantasy vehicle on http://www.3dxtra.net/ ; it's the "Flying Dutchman", as in the movie "Pirates of the Caribbean".</p>
