Reminiscent of the Abstract Expressionism movement of the 1940s, emerging artist Lisa Kowalski unleashes the creativity of her subconscious through her impulsive approach, making the process just as important as the painting itself. Painting with oils, she captures the essence of herself and the energy of shapes and color on canvas or board in the form of uncalculated marks, rich textures, and games of positive and negative space. Kowalski received her Fine Arts degree from The Art Institute of Chicago and divides her time between her Chicago studio and her home in Michigan.
