Now that is one heck of a Shape model! Very impressive!!

Wow! This got a lot better since I saw it yesterday!

Actually, it is a brand new one with many of the same elements. I'm not seeing the expected functionality when using the Remix function with one of my own models (it edits the original rather than making a copy). But I'm not sure that would make a difference. I like to start fresh each time for now for creative reasons. :)

I just tried a remix on one of your models. I didn't make any changes - just hit publish and it did create a copy in my models. Hmmm...? Which of your models gave you this result?

Posted: 2008-06-23 14:56:05

It was specifically this model: http://www.3dvia.com/m2morgan64/media/4760AB7D4F617345

I think the issue is that I tried to remix one of my own models. As the originator, I don't think it made a copy. Try remixing one of your own models.

I just tried on two different models that I created and both times a copy was created. Did you make any changes to the model before re-publishing? I'm sure that you did, but just have to ask.

Man, I just need to say one more time... this model is SICK! Check it out with the fresnel shader.

Don, I did change something before publishing again. I may try again one of these days, but for now I will stick to starting from scratch. Like I said above, I like to start from scratch for my creative process. (listen to me, I sound like an artist or something. ;)

The fresnel shader looks more like it does in Shape. I like the way the external metal reflects the light...almost like a mirror (or more accurately - chrome).

I may be a minimalist, but I like the way the Cartoon filter looks too.

Excellent shape model. Looks very cool.

How do I do that?

I wrote a 36 page document on how I do this stuff...but I lost it.

Posted: 2008-10-02 03:36:45

I used to have a royal decree stating that I was to be the next king of England but I lost that as well. I know your pain. lol

A copy exists. It is in a vault, for it is valuable. Episode 4 of "The making of Captain Mogrgan and his Starship Pirates" is long overdue. That is my fault. The story will be resumed...

Congrats, this is officially the most commented model on 3DVIA ;)
