Yes. I learned about this site through an invite I got in my email. When I saw that uploading did not support .skp files, well I figured it would be a good exercise to try exporting my models for a change. However, I just wish that 3Dvia supported .skp files as well.

ok so welcome to the 3dvia community which i prefer to use than 3d warehouse..
about converting your models i understand your worries and would also had liked that i could upload .skp files and not convert them..
Mostly because Sketchup has an error in all its converting modules..
This errror is a pain in the a.. but can be avoided with some extra work..
Let me tell you of the error.
sketchup has a tendensy to switch the faces on the inside to the outside when converting the model..
this means that textures or colors on the model is missing because they are switched to the inside face. and the face seen is just a white face..
this can be avoided by allways remember to put the textures on both the inside and the outside face..
