hmm, ok

good because i was gonna start a "Ruin a Wish" topic hahah.

for thise if you whole dont know, ruin a wish goes like this:

Poster 1: I wish i had the best modeling skils"

poster 2: granted, but you get hit in the head and you lose all your memorie for making models
i wish i had a better laptop"
and it continues from there

pretty much that gets forums really active.

So you can create and upload models. What good is that if you want to use the model somewhere else? Also, are all 3DVIA models polygonal? It would be nice if one could create a 3D model in 3DVIA and export to CATIA CAD surfaces.

Once it's in your online library, you can download any model format you upload as its original format, .dae format and 3dxml format. Making any model in your library usable in the games and CAD industries. I'll look into surface modeling for you.

Thanks for the info. Can you tell me how to download the model to my disk so I can take it somewhere else and use it? Such as, maybe convert it to STL and use it in a CFD analysis for example.

Make your model public and available for download, for a few minutes, go to the model, click on download and selected dae. Download the dae, set the model back to private. and all set to go
