    Hi,

How exactly did you change the shader ?
I'm asking because as far as I remember, we don't give access to the material of the terrains. But I could be wrong.

    hi Hiddentux,

fyi, i have just change the shader for the my parts model.

you are right, i could not change the shader of terrain.

does this means i could not prorject any shadow on the terrain? any way i could project the shadow on the terrain?

    thank

If I click "Use Deffered Shading" on the terrain, I get shadows.

    Hi iain,

i have check deferred shading in terrain property, but the shadow that comes out is in square form and when i rotate my view, the shadow keep occurs on and off.

may i know what else i should do to get a nice shadow from it ?

    thank you

From the light that is casting the shadow, up the shadow cast resolution -- does this help?

I have noticed lower quality when casting on Terrain's -- I am sure there is some kind of technical reasoning for this... but that is not my area of expertise

I notice a different if I up the value waaaay more than that to like 4028 for example. Of course this will have an impact on performances, so it depends on what kind of machine will be running the demo.

I guess it's related to the dimensions of the terrain.

When dealing with large environments, we tend to use the option Soft Shadows in the material properties... but my understanding is that we can't activate it here.
