I bought the 3Dvia Mobile a long time ago in iphone, I also have iPad and I have to pay 3.99 euro again to have the HD version? Why not make a universal app?

I understand that is a product, but when we buy the app is linked to the account the same account we uso with iphone, ipod and ipad. the license should be valid for all devices that have the same account associated just adjusting the resolution.
Most applications are universal. All apps i have i paid once and have access on my iphone and ipad without having to purchase the same application again for each device.
I can use the iphone version on ipad but it's totally pixelated

Please, release a universal app

((( Don't get me wrong.... I also think the app is a bit expensive, it's just a model viewer and not a modeling program. would be even more useful if it had access to the forum and access to help and knowledge base for studio/Virtools and access to the video tuorials, etc. Anyway i paid for it because i wanted to see my models and hoped that new features and some connection with the 3dvia.com would appear...... but the app can be much more useful and thus justify the value that is charged )))

Do you know of an example of a Universal app?

To my knowledge there are Native iPhone Apps and Native iPad Apps, and while you can search on an iPad and find both iPad and iPhone apps, on an iPhone you cannot get iPad applications. Hence the 3DVIA Mobile and 3DVIA Mobile HD.

Native iPhone apps on an iPad either show up pixelated and hide it or use the x2 zoom multiplier to use up as much of the iPad screen as possible.

Your other suggestions are great feedback, I will make sure the developers see this post.

Most universal apps that dreatern is talking about have a plus symbol in the upper left hand corner of the buy button or price button in the app store signifying that the app is built specifically to work on both devices synonymously. Separate apps are a thing of the past. Most developers now are building one app that is backwards compatible from larger tablets to smaller mobile devices. They should now, for foresight reasons, actually be built with the iPad 3 retina resolution in mind and then be backwards compatible back to current iPads and then iPhones as well.

Currently each app is customized specifically to allow the most amounts of polygons on screen that each hardware will allow. There is also a few more ui features on the iPad app than there are in the iPhone app. I will forward this along to devs, good feedback guys, Thank You!
