I don't think 3DVIA shape has a 2mb limit, it does have a 25mb limit on import though.
So if you don't believe me just go to my profile, select model named as "Konacno" and read it's "Stats" tab. Under "Rating" row you can see the warning "Not usable in 3DVIA Shape" because it's grater than 2MB ?
I was not doubting you, you can create models larger than 2mb in 3DVIA Shape, however you are reffering to the 2mb remixing limit.
As you are the owner, you should be able to click on Edit -> Open in 3DVIA Shape to edit it. Other users will not be able to import it into their 3DVIA Shape sessions to add or modify your model. This is a safety feature, as you wouldn't want to be working on a large model and accidentally add another larger model, making the session unstable.
You can still upload and edit in Shape but it gives the 2MB warning because other users cannot import the model from 3dvia.com site using the search bar at the bottom of the 3dvia Shape screen.
