Missing 3.2 behaviour on 4.0 Shape - Model details on Insert

    Hi All,

    Firstly let me congratulate the team on the latest release of Shape, the version 4.0... Liked some of the features very much... have yet to try out the touchscreen experience but I'm sure that expreince will also live up to the expectations...

    There's one thing that I'm missing on the latest version of Shape. Previously in 3.2, when you hovered mouse pointer on a model in the search results pane, its details used to appear i.e. the creator name, size, etc similar to the behaviour one sees on the 3dvia.com search results pane. However, the new results browser in 4.0 seems to be lacking this behaviour. I'd love to have it back, as it helps me decide which model to use in my Shape models.

    Hi Abu,

    On behalf of the entire Shape team, thank you for your compliments on the 4.0 release.

    I will have to find out whether the model details were removed from the Shape 4.0 search panel for a reason and suggest that they be added back in for the next release. (I don't recall that feature in Shape 3.2, but I will try to find a machine still running 3.2 to verify it.)

    Hi Abu,

    You are correct that the model details no longer show when you hover over a model in a Shape search. It was a time issue related to getting everything done for the latest release. The next release is being worked on already (of course) and model details may come back. No guarantees yet. The details are still shown in a 3DVIA.com search.

    The forums still say 3dvia Shape - for all your 3.0 needs? Shouldn't it be 4.0?
