I need a 3DVIA app for Android OS. This would greatly increase the numbers of mobile users.

I mentioned this to one of the 3DVIA managers in October 2009 and got no response. Since then the popularity of Android based devices has soared and I'm told the different Android devices on different wireless carriers are selling more units than iPhone on AT&T. Android based tablets are now comming into the market.

It would be OK with me if it was only for Android ver2.1 and above. But there are devices on 1.5 and 1.6 that will probably never get upgraded.

I pursue the idea of FridayNightRacer.
I'm under Android and would love to have the same application on Android.

Ok, as other's you can search en answer by saying the platform under different Android phone/tablets is not the same !
But the core system is the same anyway....

Leave us @ the minimun a real answer.

I agree with both.
My only concern is if 3Dvia can be ported on opengl ES 1.0 as mentioned here.
I don't think that there is a lot of androids phones/tablets that supports opengl at the moment.
I have seen 3DVia working on an Iphone, so I don't think that there is a big deal to port the same application on java,

Here is a promising project that opens 3D on android.
I think it would be nice to follow this and maybe get a 3Dvia loader for it.

My dad like this idea as he has an xperia, so please allow this feature! 3dvia Mobile for android!

Any news on this? Android has exploded in the last 7 months, it can not be ignored any more. 1 million new Samsung tablets with more tablets on the way, 100.000 new phones activated every day? Is anyone listening?

Fantastic, I have an archos tablet under android 2.2 (froyo) with opengl so it has perfect conditions to work with 3dvia content.
I´m waiting anxiously this development

Glad to hear that this app is going to be available for Android. Think a huge number of peop's use HTC phones.
I myself think this would be great app to have on mobile.

Just for the sake of marketing this app, please consider the huge number of android users out there who is in need of a 3d model viewer, not to mention ggogle sketchup designers. I myself would like to bring my design on my samsung galaxy tab and show my clients 3d models. Would be very very useful for a designer like me, and I believe all android users out there will agree. So please answer me this question, when can we expect 3dvia to be on android?

Yes ,it's wholeswitch which provides serveral services.
such as pc to phone /mobile voip/callback /calling card /callshop/ I-PBX/DID numbers/SMS services.
the emphaisa that wholeswitch could save up to 95%of your phone bills.

There has been lot of demand for this since long time.
Any news this front??

BTW, I got an Android phone recently and want to have my models on it
