Spent a great deal of time on a model, all of a sudden 3Dvia Shape crashes, GFX driver cant display, shut down then re start 3Dvia Shape select the model to continue working on it and nothing appears its a blank canvass again.

HELP !! How do I retreive the model or am I simply looking at a thumbnail in the model selection.

    Thanks
    Alex

Dont worry started again and made a much better one. Moral of the story "BE AWARE USERS" ensure you close the application regularly and click "LATER"

That way if it crashes it will always have the last saved file.

I've been racking my brain to find if there was a trace of my model somewhere to be found, I'm hoping they add crash recovery to Shape soon

Its a devastating concern if you get addicted to your model and forget to close app and re-open.

Dev team a simple save as function could negate the issue?

    Thx

    Hi,

Don't worry, R&D has heard you guys!! In the next release you'll be able to save your model locally. (To be precise, it will be a game save like function, i.e: the model saved will only be accessible from 3dvia Shape and not editable from your desktop (like a word document for instance))
