It may not be the smartest way to do that, but you can have a look at the attached Studio project.

Basically, it increments a counter up to 20 every 100 ms (you can easily modify this values) when you hold the Control key (you can change that in the Property View of your behavior).

Then it's very simple to retrieve the current value of the counter and to do whatever you want to with it.
In this project I'm using it for display purposes, to show you how it behaves.

Hope it helps. Tell me if you have any questions <img src="http://www.3dvia.com/forums/my-plugins/bb-smilies/default/icon_smile.gif" title=":)" class="bb_smilies" />

EDIT: Sorry, I missed that this was a studio question. I havent used studio, so I dont know what BBs there is..

("Switch on key"-BB might work fine for that, it sends out as long as the button is pressed.
"Key Event"-BB sends out when the button is pressed, and then sends out another stream when the button is released.
With that you can activate a "Keep active"-BB or your own loop until the released parameter is fired.)

Hi,
We're creating a 2D game and we need to create a jump function for our main character. With all the possible avenues in mind, how would we create a control that lets the user determine (to an extent) the hangtime of the jump by holding the jump key?

Thanks for your help,
The Hand
