Well I posted my problem in January. It is now April. Although it appears to be a nice program and I had considered upgrading I feel that any technical support seems to be non existent. I appreciate any time that anyone took with this issue but a direct email to 3dvia has had NO response (after 2 months). I have an off the shelf DELL laptop that handles all of my other graphics , 3D and otherwise without any issues.Thank you

Hi,

I'm still trying to reproduce the issue but it is really difficult as I don't have your specific machine.
However other users have the same issue and the only common fact between all the dxdiag seems to be the memory share of the video card (whatever videocard manufacturer).
I'm trying to have a machine that could fit with this hardware memory stuff and try to reproduce.

I haven't forgotten you guys but please be patient as it is not a simple case.

I'll come back to you as soon as possible.

thanks for your patience.

Hi jb3ds,
Yes I did deactivate the aeromode on Vista first. ( I did a lot of research on this before I came to this blog ). I'm sure it is something simple I will feel really silly about when it is fixed but is has me stumped.
See attached screenshot. Doesn't tell you much because it is just black.
Thank you for your help

Hi again,

Could you test something for me please?
Can you try to deactivate the Aeromode of Windows Vista and test again to launch 3DVIA Shape?

Please tell me your feedbacks on these tests.

Thanks.

Hi,

your Dxdiag file does not show any particuar issue on your machine. Your graphic card seems to fit the minimum requirements.
We will have to investigate further to reproduce the issue. We will surely exvhange together through this forum.
If anyone has the same issue please post your dxdiag file on this forum, it will help figure out what's going wrong.
Thnak you.

After install, uninstall, updating my video card drivers and of course registering here, then re installing 3dvia shape, I still only have a black screen.
I suspect it has something to do with "128 MB video card (256 MB recommended) supporting OpenGL 1.1 (Open GL 1.5 recommended) with OpenGL 3D hardware acceleration enabled" requirement.
