The kind of original TRX hand brake lever. It is a mix of a yamaha original and and imitation lever, i was not sure which was which! Created for DrSlumper’s TRX project.

Another beauty flatform! Gotta’ give you the full five stars. :)

This is even more sculptural than the last one – more like a graceful crane.

it’s the japaneese engineers to blame for the beauty! i always liked this specific part, and it is so nice now to enjoy it clean and uniform (a plus when viewing CAD files compared to production ones). and it does look like a crane, a specific specie who’s grandma was a articulated pterosaurus and granddad a cast diplodocus.

LOL!

Form that is true to the need and the process usually has a subtle inherent beauty that works well with the natural world. Japanese engineers seem to understand this better than most.

Then again, we’ve got to look at some of there more recent auto show concepts and wonder if the designers all had the flu or something. :D

I couldn’t agree more to your sayings. Main excuse for the designers’ can be the constant pressure of the industry for producing things that look “new”. A new model every year is ridiculous anyway, either to gloriously design it or to buy it with enthusiasm. Then i wonder myself too oh my, where the streams are taking us. The TRX model 11 years ago was looking old already, to the eyes of trendies. For the others it’s sincerity looks every year, every more beautiful.

You’re right flatform. It takes time and experience to know that just because it looks new doesn’t make it better. The classics remain beautiful for some very important reasons. Really great designers understand this and work to instill that in their designs.

Being new for new’s sake gets old very quickly!
