7 Spoke Slammer Wheel

These are the steps that I went through to make the wheel/tire for the slammed Co-Hog Toys Panel Van.

I’ve found that I have to keep making a copy of each step of the work and working on that, so that I can always go back and change some small detail later if I need too. Please note that I chose a seven spoke wheel on purpose because it would be harder, since each spoke must be 51.4285 degrees from the next. I had to work hard to try to find a way to do that angle and then just ended up fudging it to make it look decent. It was worth the challenge to learn some new things.

Parth, sorry I didn’t use your teaching turntable for this, maybe I’ll switch it over later when I have a little more time.

Ooops, sorry Parth. It’s in there now.

When making a complicated model I find that I have to copy and paste each new step in case I need to go back and revise things.

This is particularly true when dealing with 360 degree revolves because you can’t get back to the original sketch without having made a copy or starting all over again. :(
