Alfredix 9 http://www.3dvia.com/alfredix ) created this model originally as part of his MultiWeaponUnit. Since he uploaded it in STEP format, I was able to download and bring it into SolidWorks 2009 and separate out just the missile from the rest of the beast.
This mounted group of five may come in handy for the rougher parts of your neighborhood.

thanks for your credits dswavely :) Actually there are just 5 missiles mounted, but they will stil do the job if they have to :). I like your painting of the rings on the missile :)

The colors were all there when I downloaded and imported your models – I didn’t change anything. I thought you liked colorful missiles.
Actually I do. It is strange though, becasue even in my Pro/E model all rings are black. Well the orginal Sidewinder was made in Solidworks years ago. When I started working in Pro/E I imported STEP file from SW and never cared about the rings. I am glad they are back :)
…hmmm, another strange thing about translating/importing/re-translating – I’m not really surprised.
I like them more colorful too.
Neither am I. I have a lot to do with STEP formats coming and going to and from different CAD systems. Everyday a new surprise :)
