Alfredix 9 http://www.3dvia.com/alfredix ) created this model originally as part of his MultiWeaponUnit. Since he uploaded it in STEP format, I was able to download and bring it into SolidWorks 2009 and separate out just the missile from the rest of the beast. Thanks Alfredix!
It looks way better in the Player as a 3DXML file (the rings around the missile body are actually round) and the file size is way smaller.

hmmm…added the cheesy holes and updated the file to make sure that part of things is working. Aerodynamics are gonna’ go crazy. :)
oh perfect :) you just made sure that this one will not hit any target at all :) don’t use it for neighborhood watch purpose :)

I noticed that STEP is the only format where the round body has turned into a 8 or 10 sided polygone. The 3DXML and IGS sidewinder (also the 5 rack) is perfectly round. Is that something that can be adjusted with settings for tesselation?
