Hi Dave,
This is the rocket from The Adventures of Tintin, that I read countless number of times as a child:

It's not really a military vehicle, but Tintin, Professor Calculus, Captain Haddock and Snowy have visited the moon thanks to it.

Pierre has made a nice 3DCollage of the rocket on the moon.
