Video – Remixing Models: A quick tutorial

If a picture is worth a thousand words, then what is a 3D model worth?  Combining (or “remixing”) 3D models to create a large scene or assembly tells a story, and is easy to do.  This video quickly walks you through how to remix models, and some benefits.

I only scratched the surface for the uses of remixing models in this video, so if you have further benefits you would like to note, leave a comment below.  And remember, any public model on 3DVIA can be remixed in 3DVIA Shape.

  1. i was doing a model while watching the video :)

  2. You should add that instead of using the mouse tool, the manipulator tool is good because it can do the same thing as well as some other things such as up and down as well.

  3. yes, tomy, but if you want to enlarge or scale an object, regarding the floor, the mouse is a lot better, becase the deform is enlarging it in all directions, not only top.
    right,cliff?
