We are proud to announce another update to the amazingly popular 3DVIA Mobile 3D model viewing app for iPhone and iPad.  This latest update includes offline content viewing, performance improvements and the ability to filter your search results to show models based on their size.  We encourage all of our users to update their iOS apps now or install it on your iPhone and iPad today if you have not experienced one of our most popular products.

Offline Content Viewing

The most exciting update on this release is the ability to view and present your 3D models without an internet connection.  For the large number of our users who are using the apps for either product and design presentations, this was one of our top requests.  We all know that having a solid internet connection while you are out on a sales all is not a sure thing so we are excited to add it to the product offer.

You simply need to download your 3D models to your iPad or iPhone device while you are connected to the internet.  The content your downloaded will then be cached or stored locally until you update again while connected.

Filter Search Results by Size of 3D Models

If you spend the majority of your iPhone or iPad time not connected to the internet though a fast wi-fi connection, you might have an issue downloading some of the larger 3D models on the site.  Users have requested a way to skip past really large files while browsing through the public user 3D models.  We now have enabled a way to filter the results to help.  To access this feature, you need to go through your iPad or iPhone SETTINGS app and NOT from within the 3DVIA Mobile apps. 

The attached screenshot will show you the settings that you can now configure.

Model filter:
This filters the search results on YOUR models and the SITE search so the app only shows you models under that size

3D Viewing:
Turns some of our branding off right below the 3D model.  Helpful for the sales professionals using the app.

History:
This sets the size of YOUR models that the 3DVIA app will keep or cached or stored locally for offline viewing
