Call to Action! Asteroids
3DVIA’s Call to Action!
Thank you all who participated in our first Call to Action! Our next one is already up!
This is a new program I am starting here that attempts to bring our Community members together with our Developer Community. We have a lot of artists constantly expressing their creativity on 3DVIA.com and we also have just as many developers working in Virtools and MP who are always creating fun and entertaining Scenes.
I will bring together requests from our Developers as a weekly mini challenge to our Community. The purpose is to tap all the creativity on our site and start generating game ready assets for our developer community to use in their projects and games.
[I'm still working on a cool graphic, bear with me :)]
[As technology catches up to me, there will later be rewards for this mini challenge, but we are starting for fun]
Our first Call to Action is to create Asteroids in support of Krauth’s retro game. He posted a beta version of the game in the forums, and while simple, it is very fun to play. He has recently updated the game and is looking for feedback and art support!

Any prize for winner?? or you send the winning model to subscriber???
who will judge??
only one texture for entire model??
This is less of a challenge and more of an activity for the community. So I call it a mini challenge, your reward for participating is having your art work be included in an interactive game, and a great chance to add yourself to the credits of a publicly available game. To some it may not seam like much, but seeing something you made in a game, animated or exploading is an awesome experience with great bragging rights :)
BTW – is the white dwarf asteroid picture yours? Can I use it for the high score page?
Credits will be given – of course….!
