Job Description
3DVIA builds technology for a new generation of web based, interactive 3D applications. This is a great opportunity to work for a focused, “start-up” team within a billion dollar company, dedicated to the goal of building the best 3D applications available to Web and Mobile users.

Overview
Based in Concord, MA (moving soon to a new campus in Waltham), our web team designs and builds 3DVIA.com: a suite of 3D online products, content library and social web site which makes the development of interactive 3D applications (games, simulations, and virtual 3D rooms) easy and fun. We are looking for web programmers with strong experience in PHP, who want to focus on UI development, eCommerce, social content management, and web site analytics & reporting functionality. Our web site front end is built in PHP, Javascript, and CSS, and talks through Web Services to a Java/MySQL backend.

Qualifications:

3 to 5 years of experience and proficient with Web application development (HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript/jQuery, AJAX are required skills).
Experience working an MVC framework (our www.Post3d.com web site is built in Symfony).
Proficiency working in a modern web application development environment (LAMP, WAMP, Web Services APIs, REST/SOAP, MySQL database).
Experience configuring and developing Content Management Systems (WordPress).
Experience in Windows and Linux workstation and server environments (Apache Web Server application experience is preferred).
Good understanding and experience with SVN source code control, and web application deployment processes.
Understanding of user interface development concepts such as templates and MVC framework based design.
Knowledge of Web 2.0 social site integration techniques (including APIs like OAuth and RSS).
Ability/Experience working in a highly collaborative, team-oriented environment (we use Agile/Scrum project management).
Degree in computer science is desired (BS or MS).
