Enhance Any Map with 3DVIA Shape for Maps
With the introduction of Microsoft’s new Bing search engine and maps comes 3DVIA Shape for Maps. It’s basically 3DVIA Shape with some navigation tools, but it can really add some excitement to your maps, and a great way to display any building models. You can build your own models, or use any public model from the 3DVIA library.

I had a quick look at it. It might be ok for free-form buildings, but to remodel or sketch existing ones, I think it needs ways to import and display reference photos.

You can add images (pictures of buildings) as textures, and build from there. A couple examples seen here:
Create Models from Pictures…
and
Buildings created from pictures…
It all starts with good pictures though.
