  1. all entries are great :D but I think I already know the winner…
    good luck everyone!

  2. I voted for Amphibious Hover Jet but the vote count did not increase. Yet the system thinks that I voted. Anyone else have this problem?
The vote button icon just kept spinning and never stopped. Maybe I should have waited longer.

    • You are a member right? Only members of 3dvia can vote so it’s possible that’s why. I don’t know why it would give you that error though.

      • Yes. I am a member.
I finally got the vote to count by pasting the polldaddy.com link (visible in the html source) directly to my browser address window.
I think I have so many filters (no cookies, limited Java, no pop-ups, etc.) that the polldaddy link did not work properly. But, I’m happy now. My vote registered.

All the 3D models are really nice. But, I had to vote for my son. Now I know what he has been doing all those hours in front of the computer. I thought he was studying.

  3. the votes are not counted,i voted for my friend (mahmoudgalal) hover foil, from 3 hour’s and up to now the results did not get updated,
i think there is some thing wrong with this voting system.

    good luck to every body.

  4. Voting problem
I thought I better mention this to everyone.
I had trouble casting a vote so I went directly to Polldaddy and voted. Unfortunately, I noticed that polldaddy accepts multiple votes as long as cookies are cleared. I guess untill polldaddy fixes this problem, the only fair thing to do is to let everyone know the link:
    http://answers.polldaddy.com/poll/2176194
You can also find the link by searching for Amalgam Vehicle on polldaddy. It’s a public poll.
Clear cookies, close explorer, start explorer and vote again, and again, and again, etc.
I stopped after around 10 votes.

Because of this problem, I think the only fair way to handle this competition is to count only the judges score and discard all community votes.
    Thank you

  5. I have the same problem, i voted vith my sister tor Amidal but votes are not counted!

  6. It looks like Polldaddy can be setup to accept only one vote per IP address. That might be a better way to count votes. Of course that would exclude legitimate votes from family members using the same computer. But, that is probably better anyway.

  7. Unfortunately we have tried that before and found that people behind routers too also show up as one ip address. Currently you need to be logged in to 3dvia to vote, one vote per account.

    • Good point. I forgot about the single ip address behind routers.
We could, of course, all be honest. But, when I saw one of the vote tallies start climbing much, much higher than all the others, I started testing to see if multiple votes could be cast. I’m sorry to say that I was responsible for 10 multiple votes while I tested the theory. The real problem is that voting directly from Polldaddy does not require logging into 3Dvia.
Maybe someone that knows more about computers than I do can suggest a way to prevent multiple votes.

      • The only way to have a more secured poll system for 3dvia is to program it’s own poll instead of using other ones from other websites and other data bases.
The poll will then be attached to each account, one vote per account.

        • This is correct, and what I am currently proposing. The judging will continue, but instead of 3 judges and I’m getting 3 more internal judges for a total of 6 judges. And I will pick the winner from the judges scores.

  8. Hi, when the winner will be announced?

  9. Yeah, today nov. 3, who is the winner?

  10. I have to wait for the judges to get back to me, but it will be decided shortly, and the winner will be in todays 3DVIA newsletter. :)
